DEATH TAROT 13 1911 pistol grips art was created in house by artist Kade Strange. The grips are machined solid copper billet, with our art deep engraved into the metal. Perfect for those looking for art with some texture (this design mainly has deep texture near the top, more smooth feel to the bottom). Once engraved, we put a few extra hours of finishing into the set.. first with hand polish, then the first patina process which gives the 3D depth with dark browns in the recesses, then a 2nd hand polish process, then lastly, a time consuming hand applied "color" patina that uses heat to create a "Color Case" style finish on the copper. Color case will show rainbow like hues intermixed with browns and greys. This last patina adds another layer of depth as well as color. Yes, its a bit more expensive, but represents hours of handwork!
Note on Patina: As with any metal patina, hard use or abrassive rubbing can/will alter it over time. But, its solid copper and new patina is easy to add. Do not oil or "clean" or polish your grips unless you want to remove the patina.
