1911 DEER LEATHER INDEN BLACK DIAMOND WEAVE GRIPS by RISE
Grips are pictured with Wicked Grip's exclusive titanium golden bronze screws with our red opal gemstones, not included but available separately by following this link: 1911 Grip Screws
Each set is hand crafted, with the art hand carved into the leather by Hiroyuki.
Historically, hand crafted Inden leather was used to make Samurai armor due to its lightness, flexibility and strength. This material has a long history of being used by the warrior class of Japan to make and decorate their treasured weapons and armor, going back to 4th Century Japan.
Inden laquered deer leather is unique to Japan, and is created in the same families factory since 1582 in the Yamanishi prefecture in central Japan. Today this expensive material is used for high end pieces of leather work and expensive fashion pieces.
This grip is made by stacking the leather, to give a comfortable, hand filling grip. Decorative metal grommets are used for the grip screw holes. CARE: These grips were meant to be used and carried, and offer great grip texture! However, like a leather holster, extreme treatment or abuse will damage the leather. Clean with a damp cloth, and use renaissance wax or other leather care products that are color safe. Do not spray harsh chemicals on your gun while the grips are mounted.
Each set will come packaged in a special box, with a small note from the Artist Hiroyuki
