As with all 1911 aftermarket parts, installation is required. We recommend you have a qualified gunsmith install if you are not familiar with the take down of the 1911 pistol, or do not have the proper tools. As always, make sure your firearm is unloaded and safe before attempting any installation of any part. Follow all safety rules!
