CUSTOM 1911 GRIPS BLACK OPAL w/ OBSIDIAN BRONZE AND CARBON FIBER
I cannot stress enough how rare this set is. We’ve been working on this idea for over a decade. Finding material that was workable for size, yet not 5 figures in cost was the first hurdle. Obviously Australian black opal from nature in this size and color play would be into the low 6 figures cost wise. We finally brought the pieces together with Miles from Santa Fe who had been doing Opal inlay work for years. This high end synthetic european opal was the answer. Still very rare and expensive, it made the impossible possible!
This set is a fusion of Black sythetic Opal, Black Obsidian with bronze lighting veining, and Carbon fiber matrix.. truly one of a kind and stunning.

This set has been fit to Les Baer and Colt frames. The plunger tube fitment and left side safety was fit with these quality guns in mind. While this set will fit any standard 1911, variations in plunger tube, mainspring housing pins slide release and safety levers may require added care when first installing. Do no force grips onto a gun that is not fit for this configuration. If they require extra minor fitting to your exact needs, contact us and let us assist you.
Note on installation. Care must be shown when installing and using exotic gmestone and fossil materials. Grips cannot withstand heavy abuse or rough handling. Grip screws can damage exotic material grips if over torqued. Do not overtighten grip screws. There is no need for this. Grips come with orings installed, simply snug up grip screws. You may use a small dab of blue loctite if you feel its necessary. We will not warranty any damage to grips from over tightening grip screws.
